Our Ministries

Our ministries exist to make Jesus Christ known by proclaiming the Gospel, discipling believers, and demonstrating God's love through practical service. We are committed to transforming lives by faithfully teaching God's Word, encouraging individuals and communities, and responding to physical, social, and spiritual needs with compassion.

Through evangelism, discipleship, training, mercy ministries, and community outreach, we seek to see lives restored, churches strengthened, and leaders equipped to impact the Democratic Republic of Congo and the nations. Our ultimate desire is that people from every community encounter Christ, grow in their faith, and become active participants in God's mission.

Village Ministries

Bringing hope to remote communities through the love of Christ. We teach the Word of God, help rebuild churches, schools, and health clinics, and support sustainable community development. By providing pigs to villages to breed and share, we help families generate income, improve nutrition, and build long-term self-sufficiency.

Equipping Saints

Healthy churches require strong, biblically grounded leaders. Through regular leadership training seminars, Bible distribution, and Christian teaching resources, we equip pastors and church leaders to faithfully shepherd their congregations and strengthen the Church throughout the Democratic Republic of Congo. To date, more than 1,000 pastors and church leaders have been trained.

In addition, every other month, YWAM DR Congo hosts leadership seminars for pastors, ministry leaders, and church workers. These gatherings provide biblical teaching, practical ministry skills, encouragement, and fellowship, strengthening leaders to serve their communities with wisdom, integrity, and faithfulness.

The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is the heart of Youth With A Mission. Through
intensive Bible study, spiritual formation, evangelism, and outreach, DTS equips believers to know God more deeply and make Him known among the nations. As YWAM DR Congo continues to develop this ministry, our vision is to train and send passionate disciples who will transform communities throughout the Democratic Republic of Congo and beyond.

Ministering the Youth

We believe the children and young people of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Through the message of the Gospel, discipleship, and practical care, we seek to transform lives, raise up godly leaders, and inspire a new generation that will bringlasting hope and positive change to the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Preschool Education

We believe that education is one of the greatest gifts a child can receive. Our preschools provide young children with a strong educational foundation while nurturing them in a loving, Christ-centered environment. Today, 22 preschools serve 1,138 students across 16 villages, offering hope and opportunity for the future.

Sports Ministry

Sports provide a powerful way to reach young people and build relationships. Through organized sports, Bible studies, and mentoring, we create a safe and encouraging environment where children and youth can grow physically, spiritually, and emotionally while experiencing the love of Christ.

Ministering to Widows

We are committed to caring for widows by helping them establish sustainable small
businesses that enable them to provide for their families with dignity. Alongside practical support, we offer biblical encouragement and fellowship, reminding every widow that she is deeply loved by God and not forgotten.

Ministering to Orphans

Education opens the door to a brighter future. Through our school fee assistance
program, orphaned children who would otherwise be unable to attend school are given the opportunity to receive an education, discover their God-given potential, and build a better future.

for War Victims, Displaced Families, Refugees, Disease Outbreak, and Disaster Relief

Mercy Ministry is a humanitarian and faith-based ministry serving vulnerable families and communities affected by war, displacement, poverty, refugee crises, disease outbreaks, and natural disasters in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and surrounding areas.

We serve people who have lost their homes, belongings, livelihoods, and loved ones because of armed conflict, displacement, flooding, and other disasters. Our goal is to restore dignity, provide immediate relief, and help families rebuild their lives with hope.

Food To Those In Need

Years of conflict and ongoing instability have left countless families struggling to provide even one meal a day for their children. In response to this urgent need, God led us to establish a feeding program that brings both practical care and the love of Christ to vulnerable children.

When resources allow, we provide nutritious meals for more than 1,000 children one
day per week. For many of these children, this is the only meal they will receive. Every
meal not only nourishes hungry bodies but also opens hearts to experience God's love and hope through the Gospel.

Our vision is to serve these children every day, ensuring that no child is turned away because of hunger. However, our ability to continue and expand this ministry is limited by available funding. With the partnership of generous supporters, we can provide daily meals, restore hope to struggling families, and demonstrate the compassion of Jesus in tangible ways—one child, one meal, and one life at a time.

Teaching Practical Life Skills

Many women in eastern DR Congo long for the opportunity to provide for their families but have little access to education or vocational training. Our Sewing School equips women and young people with practical tailoring and sewing skills that can lead to sustainable employment or small business opportunities.

More than simply teaching a trade, the Sewing School is a place of discipleship,
encouragement, and hope. As students learn to sew, they also study God's Word, grow in confidence, and discover their God-given purpose. We believe that transformed lives begin with both practical skills and spiritual foundations.

Graduates leave with the ability to make and repair clothing, generate income for their families, and become a positive influence in their communities. Our vision is to see women and youth empowered to break the cycle of poverty while reflecting the love of Christ wherever they go.

With additional support, we hope to expand the program by purchasing more sewing
machines, providing training materials, and offering scholarships for students who
otherwise could not afford to attend. Together, we can help transform lives—one stitch, one family, and one community at a time.
