The Kibambazis

Fahamu and Jonni met in Rwanda while serving with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). During their time together, God placed a shared calling on their hearts to serve the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Since their marriage in 2013, they have faithfully ministered in the eastern region of the DRC, serving in Uvira and the surrounding villages along the shores of Lake Tanganyika near the Burundi border. Their ministry is focused on sharing the Gospel, equipping believers, strengthening local churches, and bringing practical hope to communities affected by years of conflict and poverty.

Fahamu was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to missionary parents who served in the Fuliiru Bible translation ministry. Growing up among the Congolese people gave him a deep love for his country and a lifelong burden to see it transformed by the power of Christ.
He is especially passionate about developing godly leaders, believing that lasting hope for the DRC begins with strong, Christ-centered leadership in the local church. As pastors and church leaders are equipped with biblical truth and servant-hearted leadership, they can influence families, communities, and ultimately the nation itself. This vision continues to shape every aspect of the ministry that Fahamu and Jonni lead together.
